Life at Gi and Papa's house!

So, here we are back at Jill's parents!  Here are some fun pics of the girls as we are getting settled (or from my parent's perspective...being invaded =).

Here's Carly on her 10 month day.  This was her first time sitting on the train.  She thought she was hot stuff!  I'm pretty sure that at 18 months, Addy's feet barely touched the floor.  Carly certainly does not have that problem!

Love this picture...

Here are a couple of shots of the girls taking the Jeep for a spin.  I just love Carly's face in this picture.  I feel like she is saying, "Who put me in this car with this crazy girl?"

And yet again, "Oh my goodness, what is going on?"

In all actuality, Carly really likes to ride in the Jeep, almost as much as Addy likes to drive it.

Saying Goodbye

Things happened rather quickly, so in short, we left Jill's parents, went home and ten days later, we were back...for good!  It left little time for goodbyes.  We enjoyed our time in Virginia and will never forget the friends we made while we were there.

Allison, the girls, and Kai came for a quick visit to pick up Kai's crib and to help get a little packing done.  Well, I think we packed one box, but the girls, as always, had a SUPER time.

Here's Addy saying goodbye to her friend Grace.  It makes me sad, looking at these pictures now (11/27), to think that Addy will likely not remember her first friends from VA.  Hopefully, over the years, she will get to see some of them again.  (We miss you Karen and Grace!)

As we were packing, Addy had plenty of time to try on all of her shoes!

Visiting Family

We made a trip to visit Jill's parents in August.  (Little did we know, at that time what would lie ahead!)  Here are a few pics from the trip...

To heck with toys...this thing is way cooler!

We visited a local water park...it was a big hit.

Carly's 9 month-day

Okay, so I'm only 3 months behind now...

Here are some pics of Carly at 9 months.  At her 9 month check up (Aug 10), she weighed in at 20 lbs 3 oz and was 30.25 in tall.  Those are roughly Addy's measurements at 12 months =)

The girls LOVE this "Ball Pit", which at our house is known as the "Bounce House".  We are sad to say (in current time...Nov. 7), we are about to say good-bye to our 2nd "Bounce House".

All grown up!!!

Here is a video of Addy trying to help Carly walk.  She loves to walk holding your hands.  Addy sees us doing this and wants to participate also.  I'm not sure which of them enjoys it more =)

Here is a little video of the same...

Back to the cabin

Wendy and Brandon called and said they were going to be visiting their family's cabin, and we were at home, so we made a quick trip to visit them.

Quick trip...and now we are back at home.  I am not a fan of "me" in this picture, but I just love it!

 Our beautiful Addyson...

I think Jeff posted this pic back in the 'beating the summer heat' post, but I wanted to post it again...just 'cause I love it =) How lucky am I to have such wonderful girls!!!

Family Vacation at the beach

We got everyone together at the beach this year for a little R & R...ha, ha, ha...  With 3 children 2 and under, R& R wasn't really in the mix...but we did have a really great time!  I've got tons of pics, but in an effort to be brief, here are a few.

In order to break up the drive, we stopped off at a playground on our way there.  Here a the girls having a little fun.

This is easily one of my fav's.

Cute pic of Carly with Papa...

And with Daddy...
Both of our girls love the water.  We spent a lot of our time at the pool this year.

Here are some pics of the girls showing off their floating skills!

I'm not giving up...

I know I'm running a LOT behind on the blog posts, but due to my OCD ways, I'm still trying to keep to the timeline...
Soooo, I'm trying to be brief...we'll see how that goes =)

We spent July 4th weekend at the cabin and had a great time.  Here are a few pics...

Carly was the only child up during the fireworks.  (For those of you who know her know that this is typical for her.)  We could see them in the distance out the cabin window, so Kelley was entertaining her.

We went to the parade and then got caught in a big rain storm, so we didn't get home until much past Addy's nap time.  She actually took a nap in Carly's stroller at the restaurant where we waited out the storm.  But obviously she didn't get her nap out.  This was when we got back to the cabin...

Carly loves to gnaw on a corn cob!
