Finally...at the cabin - Fall 2012

Okay, so we had tons of fun, even before we got to the cabin.  But, as always, the cabin was super fun also! 

We did some coloring/drawing, which, did I mention, the girls love to do!  

We found an awesome playground next to the Greenway, so we played for a little while...

...then went for a walk to take in all of the beautiful scenery.

We also roasted marshmallows in the new fire pit and had s'mores!  Yummmy =)

Thanks to Gi and Papa for letting us tag along and thanks to Kelley, Joe, and Harry letting us crash in on you all.  We had a truly wonderful time!!!

More fall vacation - 2012

Kelley hooked the kiddos up with some outdoor play doh time, which they loved!

After our day at the pumpkin match (and after naps), we went to a birthday party at a really cool little art shop.  Even though they were still exhausted from their big morning adventure, the kids had fun. 

Carly loved drawing on this wall... she sat here the whole time (that's shaving cream and water color). 

More pumpkin patch - Fall 2012

So now, the kids have had their snack (as you will see, as usual, Carly is still eating...the girls LOVES to eat), and move on.  What's a pumpkin patch without a hay ride...

Ah, and then the corn maze.  The kids were maxed out, but we decided to try the corn maze anyway.  So glad we did - it was a big hit!   We found a spot where the corn wasn't too tall and then we adults relaxed a little, so the kids could run around a "hide" from us.

Still not done...there was an old train car there, so we took a walk through it.  

And then to wrap it up, we tried to get a shot of them in this old truck.  Here's one of the family...

What a great day!  The little ones slept all the way home, and then some, once we got there.  Thanks Kelley!  We had a great time. =)

Pumpkin Patch - Fall 2012

In October, we took a trip up to the mountains in search of some fall weather. We should start by saying thanks to daddy for letting us go, because he had to stay home and work...we missed him while we were gone. It wasn't the same without him.  We spent a couple of days with Kelley, Joe, and Harry (both going to and coming from the cabin).  Kelley took us to an AWESOME pumpkin patch.  There was so much to do and the kids had a blast!  I have so many pics to share, it might take two posts to get them on here...

There were forts and slides and so many things to play on...

 

There was a petting zoo and pony rides...

 ...and even a place where you could practice milking a cow.  Harry thought this was pretty cool - my girls, not so much =)

This awesome slide kept us busy for quite a while!  We were feeding the animals and my dad came over to let me know he was taking Addy to go down this slide.  I was not pleased - it looked pretty intimidating, so I took off after them to "help out"!  That was my first mistake, 'cause when Carly saw it, she took off running after it also, which scared me even more.  But...it was awesome!  All three kids (and a couple of the adults) thoroughly enjoyed themselves. 

The only way to get them away from the slide, was to offer them a pony ride...

 I should also mention here that this was Carly's first pony ride. 

At this point, it was getting close to both lunch and nap time, but there was still so much to do!  So, we stopped for a snack and then pushed on...  see next post for more pics...

One more thing...

Carly and I dropped Addy off at preschool a couple of weeks ago and when we were pulling out of the parking lot Carly patted her chest and said, "Me, me, school"!  Too cute... 

Happy Birthday Jeff!

It was not as elaborate a celebration as we would like to have given you on your 35th birthday, but I hope you know how much we love and appreciate you!  You keep the craziness that is our life as grounded as possible.  Here's to many more birthday's together...I love you honey!

One of the most rewarding moments as a mom is when one of your kids crawls up in your lap to cuddle and  hang out for awhile. 

No cuddles here...just cuteness =)

 So, here is our cat, Gloria.  You know, we bought her a nice cushy cat bed when she came to live with us.  She has never, ever set one paw in that bed...she has no interest in even trying it out.  However, this box - she loves it!  Anytime I am at the computer, she will come and lay next to me in this box.  How crazy is that!

 

 Oh and yes, she loves the girls' princess chairs.  I guess we have another princess in the house!  The girls think this is just the best thing ever. =)

Gator Ghouls

It has been a fun football season. The girls are getting old enough to enjoy in the excitement of football Saturdays, so they have celebrated this crazy Florida Gator season along side us.  Here they are over various weeks in their attire. 

The thing Carly likes best about football Saturdays is that she gets to sit on the couch and eat snacks, all while watching TV! 

Here they are gearing up for Halloween...

Have you seen the Buffalo Wild Wings commercial where the couple starts watching a game at a home where there are infants, so they are not allowed to celebrate loudly when something good happens.  They then head to BWW where they can cheer loudly as often as they want.  Well...this is what it's like when you try to watch a night game with friends over who have kids the same age as yours (ages 1 to 3).  We all had a blast, especially the kids.
