Triathlon weekend (and Carly's 8 month-day)

Mom, Kelley, Joe, and Harry came up for a visit in June.  Kelley, Joe, and Jeff completed a triathlon and Mom and I kept the kids.  Here are some cool pics of their visit.  I don't have any pics of the athletes in action...but I got plenty of the future family athletes!

Harry's taking Addy's jeep for a spin.

Addy's taking Aunt Kelley for a ride.

Laid back...

Uncle Joe's strapping the babies in for a ride in the wagon.

Beautiful Addy

Adorable Carly...Carly turned 8 months old this weekend as well.

I can see an additional riding toy in our future.  They were already fighting over this one and it's only gotten worse over the last couple of months...at this point, Addy was holding Carly on.  Now (in late Sept.) one rides and the other pushes.  They really do have fun!

A couple of pics of the girls with Gi.  I didn't know which was better, so I included both!

A few days at home...

We did go home for a few days in between all of our travels this summer.  Here are some cute pics of the girls at our house...

Father's Day

This is also way overdue, but I wanted to post a few pics of my wonderful husband with his little girls.  He is the best daddy that anyone could ask for!  We just want to say thanks so much for everything you do and we love you so much.

Pittsburg - June 2011

We visited Uncle Tim in Pittsburg this summer and had a great time.  We went to the zoo, which was awesome, and we took Addy to the Children's Museum, which she (and we) thoroughly enjoyed.   It was Father's Day weekend, so we also went to DeLuca's, per Jeff's request.  He saw DeLuca's on Man vs. Food.  It was featured for it's large portions, plus they put ice cream on their pancakes, so Jeff was immediately interested.  It was a big hit!

These tigers were so cute.  They were only about a year old and they were very playful and provided significant entertainment for those willing to watch.

Some cute pics of the girls with Jeff and I.

Addyson was sitting on a ledge at the edge of the shark tank, where the glass ended and a wall began.  She was just hanging out, when a shark appeared from behind the wall.  It scared her...so she jumped up and quickly found another seat.  Laughing at your daughter's expense is probably frowned upon, but we got a few giggles in.  It was quite cute.

Now on to the Children's Museum...
They had a live Dora show going on at the museum, but this was as close as Addy got to seeing Dora.  Her (let's call them frugal) parents wouldn't spend the extra money to sit thru a Dora show =).   Either way, Addy liked getting her picture taken with Dora!

Cause...
 Effect...

They had an entire floor dedicated to water exploration.  Addyson had a great time, even after we explained that she could not get INTO the water.  She walked right over and started to throw her leg over the side to get into the giant tub of water.
Here is Addyson, with her dad and uncle, putting together pipes that route water.

Carly sat this one out...so she stayed back at the house with Em and Gary.  But here is a cute picture of her too!

Carly's 7 month pic - Sitting pretty!

Okay, so I realized that I hadn't posted Carly's 7 month day picture...so here it is.  Notice, she is still sitting on a blanket, so she was still "just" sitting at this point.  She crawled for the first time around June 8.

Memorial Day 2011

We went to visit Kelley, Joe, and Harry for the Memorial Day Holiday back in May.  We had a great time as always!  Here are a few pics from our visit.

Harry and Carly sharing some Puffs...one of their favorite activities.

What a handsome little man!

Some of Jeff's artwork...

Addy hanging out in the swing.

Carly hanging out on a blanket with mom.

We couldn't get Addy out of the swing, but here is one of the three of us!

Carly's all played out!

Harry got tired of waiting for a turn in the swing, so he hopped on the tricycle to go for a ride!

This was our first Monkey Joe's experience.  What a great place!!!
All the kids had a great time...including Joe!

So sweet...

Our little climber...hard at work!

Memorial Day to Labor Day 2011

So, we've had a VERY busy summer and we're sorry we haven't shared much of it with you.  So, here is a summary of our many activities this summer.  Well...it won't all be in this post, but everything should get posted over the next couple of days (weeks?).  Enjoy!

To start, here are a few photos of our girls just before/after Memorial Day...at home.

Addy still loves books.
She has also discovered jewelry.  She was always playing with mine, so we decided she should have some of her own.

Concentrating...

Here is one that I'm sure Addy will embarrass over when she gets a little older, but it's so cute!  Addy's helping mommy make pancakes, which she loves to do.

A cute pic of Carly

This pic was taken mid-June.  I was in the kitchen, and Addy started saying, "Mommy, she's standing up...Carly's standing up".  Sure enough, she was standing up.  As far as I know, this was the first time =)
