Rounding out May

Here are some pics of Addy on the day of her Gymnastics show.  It was a little less formal then her dance performance, but just as cute.  I wasn't able to take pictures at the show, b/c it was very dark in the gym and we were too far away.  However, we did get some video, which I hope to post at some point, once I get it uploaded.

I can't believe I'm posting this photo...I'm sure Addy will love me for it someday, but I had to share another one of her famous outfits!  

Dance rehersal

As I previously mentioned, Addy took gymnastics and dance classes this year.  Addy got dressed in her costume during one of her classes to get her picture taken. 

I know I am biased, but isn't she just the cutest!  

After pics were done, they did their dance for us.  We were some proud mama's!  

Mother's Day 2012

I know...I've got some catching up to do...again!  Do you sense a trend here?  I always use the excuse that we've just been so busy.  This time is no exception.  We've had a crazy busy and fun summer.  Addy finished up her gymnastics and dance classes with awesome performances...pics to follow.  We finally bought and moved in to a new house, which we are loving.  We did a little vacationing and then spent the remainder of the summer getting settled into our new home.  Now, Jeff is back to school and Addy will start preschool next week, which she is totally excited about!  Carly and mommy are looking forward to some quality bonding time as well.

If you look closely, my mom is trying to put a bow in Carly's hair.  I'm not sure who was distracting who, but we got the bow in her hair, and I was able to get her to stand still for a picture, two things that never even happen individually.  Score! 

Here are some pics of the girls in early May.  They are some of my favorites!

This is Carly's first ride on the tire swing Papa put up for the girls.  Do you think she enjoyed it.  I must say, I was crazy nervous for her to get on it.  The girls obviously had to take turns riding it.  They would each literally stand next to me and cry while the other was riding until it was there turn.  Then they would trade...

And, of course, they still love the jeep...

I think??? this is the first documented picture we have of Carly wearing her swimmies.  (Back in the fall, she wasn't even walking...she would just crawl down into the lake, over her head.  This was not fun for me...)  This spring, we put her swimmies on and she thoroughly enjoys the water.

My parents' moved their rose garden up closer to the house and they had two great little helpers!  Thankfully my parents are very patient with their granddaughters, because they really had a great time digging in the dirt.

So I think this is just too cute.  Addy put glasses on her baby doll and put a book in the stroller for her to read.  

Carly loves this hat.  She puts it on and wears it around any time she finds it.  

The girls love for Jeff to draw hopscotch on the driveway so they can 'hop' thru it.

Easter 2012

We had a wonderful Easter this year.  Here are some pics of the day.  Addy loves to hunt Easter eggs...it has become a year-round activity in our house.  Carly had fun, too, but she is not quite as enthusiastic about it just yet.  She was more interested in the candy she found in her Easter basket. 

Here is the family enjoying some Easter eggs after the big hunt.  I am not sure how I managed to take pictures of each of my family members with their mouths wide open, but I could not resist sharing!
