Daddy-Daughter Date Night

Jeff and Addy attended Daddy-Daughter Date Night at Chick-fil-a.  You had to have a reservation and everything!  Addy had a great time.  There was a photographer there and this was the picture that was taken. 

Spring Pics

The weather here has been beautiful and our flowers are blooming wonderfully this spring, so I thought it would be awesome to get some photos of the girls with the beautiful flowers, that it would make for some great spring pictures!  Can anyone explain to me that why, when you take a child who smiles almost all the time, and try to take her picture, it is virtually impossible to get a smile out of her???  Needless to say, my plan didn't go so well, but we did get some good pics from it (miraculously).  The even bigger challenge, which I expected, was to get both of them to look at the camera at the same time!!!

This pic should have been the first indication that our mostly smiley child was not going to cooperate! 

No problems getting this little one to smile!

I don't know if you consider this a smile, but this was a close as we got!  Still, I love this photo!

Some cute pics of Addyson

These pics of Addy are not on a specific time line like Carly's were.  They are just some cute random shots that were taken over the last month or so.

 These two pics are at Wayne and Kim's house, where Addy was thrilled to learn that they have two cats - Lucy and Ricky -  and a dog - Elvis.  Here she is getting to pet Lucy. 

 And here she is playing with Elvis...what a GREAT dog.  He and Addy had a good time together.

Carly turned 6 months...a while ago

Ok...so here is Carly's official 6 month picture..taken April 25 on her month day!

This was taken in Florida the week before.  We were in Florida for about 5 days and this, unfortunately, is one of the only pics I took while we were there.  I took a couple of Addy swimming with Audrey and Avery, but they didn't turn out really well, so I didn't provide them.  My mom also took a couple of shots of Carly swimming (sitting in the water) for the very first time, but I haven't had time to get look through the pics she sent.  Maybe I'll get to it and provide a picture, but I'm not promising anything at this point.  Either way, here is a cute pic of Carly sitting on my parents' bed. 

This was taken at Jane's house in PA the same week.  (Yes, we left FL and then went directly to PA!)  As stated earlier, we were there for Easter.  Isn't she a doll!

 I just thought this was too cute.  Carly got up VERY early this morning and just didn't have any interest in going back to sleep.  After I was up with her for a while, my wonderful mother came in and got her (so I could catch a few more zzzzzz's).  My mom said she sat and played and played for a long time and then just put her head back and fell right to sleep.  She slept like this for quite a while...too cute!

 The perfect combination!  Here is what you get when you mix green beans and prunes together!  Isn't it just lovely.  It was too cute not to capture and share!

Going back a little bit...let's start with Easter

We spent Easter this year up in Pennsylvania visiting Jeff's family.  Jill's mom also came along for the trip, which was her first visit to Jane's house...crazy, since Jeff and I have been together now for almost 10 years!  We had a really nice visit. Thanks so much to everyone for having us!  Addyson had a great time hunting Easter eggs.  She's had many practice sessions leading up to the big event! 

 Meanwhile Carly had a great time watching from the sidelines.  It won't be long before she gives her sister a little competition!

Happy Mother's Day

Today we celebrate our mothers (and wives if you have children) with cards and presents.  But what all moms really want is to hear from their children is how much they love them and appreciate everything they do for us.  Mothers are the captains of our lives, they make sure we are traveling in the right direction at the right pace.  We always want our mother's approval whether we ask her if I am going to the correct college or I met the right person to marry.  Once we ask are mom the question she never gives you an answer because she wants you to make the right choice that is in your heart.  So, to all the moms who have touched our lives, we say 'Thank You and we LOVE you'.
